Design of Full Duplex Millimeter-Wave Integrated Access and Backhaul Networks

One of the key technologies for future cellular networks is full duplex (FD)-enabled integrated access and backhaul (IAB) operating in millimeter-wave (mmWave) frequencies. The main challenge realizing FD-IAB mitigating impact self-interference (SI) wideband mmWave In this article, we first introduce 3GPP IAB network architectures channel models. By utilizing subarray-based hybrid precoding scheme at node, multiuser interference mitigated using zero-forcing transmitter, whereas residual SI after successfully deploying antenna analog cancellation canceled by a minimum mean square error baseband combiner receiver. spectral efficiency (SE) evaluated RF insertion loss (RFIL) with different kinds phase shifters uncertainty. Simulation results show that, presence RFIL, almost double SE, which close to that obtained from fully connected precoding, can be achieved as compared half systems when uncertainties are low strength.
